Egypt's Helwan University in cooperation with South Valley University will launch on Saturday a seminar entitled ‘Sustainable development of the local traditional handicrafts, Al-Bawaba News reported Friday. The seminar aims to preserve the national cultural heritage as well as deepening the concept of rooting with Egyptian villages depending on the traditional local handicrafts. The challenges facing the traditional handicrafts are scheduled among issues for discussions in addition to raw materials found in local villages and ways of using them in developing the traditional local industries.
