President Abdel Fattah El Sisi interviewed on Monday 8/2/2016 by "Jeune Afrique", a French language weekly news magazine published in Paris. The interview was made on the occasion of a major African investment forum, slated for Feb. 20 and 21 in Sharm El Sheikh. Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said that the interview covered Egyptian-African relations and the African issues as being among the priorities of the Egyptian foreign policy, especially in light of Egypt's current membership of the UN Security Council and its membership in the African Peace and Security Council that will kick off in April. The interview also dealt with counter-terrorism efforts and regional developments, especially in Libya and Syria, the spokesman added. The President also reviewed the latest developments on the Egyptian arena over the past few years, particularly efforts to achieve comprehensive development and to continue with the democratic reform process, along with measures taken to promote tourism and create a suitable environment for attracting investment.
