The International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF) will announce Tuesday, the winners of 2016 long list, a list made of 16 novels out of 159 novels from 18 countries, Al-Bawaba News reported. IPAF 2016 short list, a list made of 6 novels, will be announced on 9 February, in Muscat in the light of recognizing Oman's literature and culture. IPAF prize is a literary annual award managed with the association of the Booker Prize Foundation in London, and supported by the Emirates Foundation in Abu Dhabi. The authors enter the completion by submitting their available literature that was published last year, followed by the jury's, which consists of five persons, who are critics, novelists and academics worldwide, selecting the winner and announce them during the time of announcement. The six finalists win $10 thousand, while the first prize winner will get additional $ 50 thousand. The doors to this year 2016 nomination closed at June of 2015, and will open again for 2017 award nomination in spring of 2016.
