The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is offering treasury bills with a total value of EGP 8bn on behalf of the Ministry of Finance on Thursday, Youm7 reported. The CBE's offer includes short term treasury bills worth EGP 3.5bn, carrying a maturity of 182 days, and the other worth EGP 4.5bn with a maturity of 364 days. According to the CBE, these bills are being offered to pay the budget deficit of the current fiscal year (FY) 2015/2016, which is expected to reach EGP 240bn.
