Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced Monday that total deposits with banking system increased by EGP 34 billion to reach EGP 1.843 trillion in September, compared to EGP 1.809 trillion in August. CBE said that the total government deposits amounted to EGP 289 billion, of which EGP 202.3 billion in local currency and EGP 86.6 billion in foreign currencies, Al Masry Al Youm reported. The non-governmental total deposits rose in September to EGP 1.554 trillion, compared with EGP 1.533 trillion in the previous month, according to CBE.
