Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi participated Sunday in the inauguration of the Arab Thought Conference held in Cairo marking the Arab League's 70th anniversary. Sisi said the conference seeks to achieve Arab integration to enhance joint Arab action to meet objectives of the Arab peoples in economic, military and security cooperation supported by the Joint Arab forces as well as culture and civilization coherence to protect the Arab nation from extremist ideology and threats of terrorism. The challenges experienced by the Arab world, became no longer local issues but existentially threaten entities of those countries and their people capabilities, which requires the need to preserve the unity of the Arab territories. "We should work on the development and activation of the Arab regional system as an organizing tool for the Arab relations and agreements at all levels of economic, cultural, and military," Sisi said in his speech. The collective action seeks to meet the needs of Arabs to get a decent life, responsible freedom, he added, stressing on the urgent need to give top priority to the development of the industrial sector in integrative Arabic substantive to build basis for economic integration. Al-Sisi also pointed out the importance of the Infrastructure development and information technology to facilitate enhancing of the Arab economic relations at all levels, and applications of effective systems to combat corruption, taking into account the role of parliaments in controlling and fighting the corruption and in consolidation of the integrity and transparency's values. The President also stressed on the importance of strengthening the joint Arab investment to take advantage of the Arabic natural, financial and human resources as well as recruiting its production for the advancement of other economic sectors such as agriculture to achieve economic advancement. Sisi called for the importance of establishing a joint Arab force as a necessary tool to defend the Arab nation, pointing out that Egypt and Saudi Arabia took steps regarding the establishment of a joint Arab force. He also called for activating the role of the Arab League and the Arab Organization for Science and Culture, pointing out the need for developing the cultural relations between the countries of the region, especially the culturally converged ones.
