Libyan authorities will release 15 Egyptian fishermen, after intensive efforts made by Egyptian ambassador in Tripoli, said Assistant Foreign Minister for consular affairs Hisham Al Naqib on Tuesday. The fishermen were detained in Misrata for penetrating Libyan territorial waters, Al Bawaba News reported. Al Naqib said that there is coordination with the Egyptian ambassador in Tunisia to oversee the transfer of those fishermen to the Libyan-Tunisian border. He added that this step comes in preparation to extract the necessary travel documents to enable them to enter the Tunisian territory, ahead of their safe return to homeland.
