Egypt has been elected on Thursday for a non-permanent seat after a vote held in UN's general assembly, for 2-years since Jan. 2016, Al-Bawaba News reported. Egypt was elected by 179 votes out of 193, in addition to Senegal who will replace Chad and Nigeria after concluding their period by the end of 2015. The African group accomplished 2 seats, while the groups of Latin America, East Europe and Pacific Asia are running for one seat for each. Egypt, a UN founding member, had accomplished membership for 5 times, the last was 1996.
