Egyptian delegation from Al Azhar attended the inauguration of Europe's large mosque in Russia, said Egypt's Ambassador to Moscow Mohamed Badri on Thursday. This came during a reception ceremony hosted by the Egyptian ambassador in Moscow, in honor of the delegation and attended by representatives of the Egyptian community in Russia, as well as members of media involved in Islamic affairs in Russia. The delegation headed by President of the Islamic Research Academy, Mohy Al Din Afifi has pointed out to Al-Azhar's efforts in spreading the Islamic moderation and principles of true religion. The delegation members stressed Al Azhar's willingness to spread those principles in Russia, in an attempt to fight religious extremism.
