Egyptian ambassador to Norway, Mahy Hassan Abd Al Latif met with president of the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Oslo over reviewing the new major projects which the Egyptian government intends to launch, al-Bawaba News reported Wednesday. The Norwegian foreign ministry said that the meeting comes within the framework of the efforts of the Egyptian Embassy in Oslo to activate the bilateral economic relations between both countries. Abd Al Latif has offered a package of the new measures and policies taken by the Egyptian government to encourage and support investment in the country in addition to create a convenient environment to attract investments to Egypt. For his part, the official Norwegian presented the commercial anticipation fields of his country including oil, gas, fish farms, maritime transport and renewable energy expressing his optimism to develop economic relations between both countries. The two sides discussed the possibility of establishing an Egyptian-Norwegian business council as well as organizing visits for the Egyptian government delegations, private companies and businessmen to Norway to review the investment opportunities in Egypt.
