On Saturday, the 19th of September Sa'ad el-Geyoushi was sworn in to be a part of Sherief Ismail's new Cabinet, as the Transportation Minister, as the successor of Hani Dahi. He graduated from Military Technical University and holds a doctorate in Engineering, and is best known for his odd and cynical remarks. He was assigned by Egypt's armed forces, as the chairman of Roads and Bridges sector, based on the decision of the Egypt's president Abd El- Fattah al-Sisi for the completion of the National Roads Project, but could not keep up with the challenges imposed on him and was excluded with a non-renewal of his post. The ministry claimed the reason of his sack was because el-Geyoushi's son's company evaded taxes, delaying the delivery of National Roads Project, for technical reasons. During his post in the sector, Egypt witnessed one of the most horrifying accident, where the victim were the 17 students who died in the Beheira bus accident. Appointing el-Geyoushi to the new cabinet was met with a positive reaction from the former minister of transportation, Dahi who stated, "I wish for Dr. Saad el-Geyoushi best wishes in the ministry of transport, which is considered the most difficult one and needs constant effort, concentration, sincerity and cooperation with everyone." Some Twitter users supported such choice in the new cabinet stating that el-Geyoushi is "known for his stance against corruption." While on social media some Facebook users supported such choice in the new cabinet stating that el-Geyoushi is "a respectable man since the days of chairman of roads and bridges sector." But not all supported the choice of his appointment.
