Egypt's new Higher Education Minister, Ashraf Al-Shihi affirmed that organizing demonstrations within university campuses is accepted under several conditions, Al-Bawaba News reported Saturday.
Al-Shihhi explained that the students must receive a permission from the administration of the university to stage a protest, adding that specifying the time and place of the protest is essential.
"University members of staff are banned from participation in any electoral campaigns," Al-Shihhi asserted.
