Ministers expected to be members in Ismail's government

On Saturday, Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab submitted his government resignation to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, who appointed Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail to form the new government.
During the past two days, several nominations were emerged about next government's ministers with possibilities of the existence of ministers from Mahlab's government.
Ministry of Agriculture
New assigned Prime Minister Sherif Ismail met Monday with Minister of Agriculture adviser Saad Nassar, Desert Research Center former head Ismail Abdel Galil, Assistant Professor of Genetic Engineering at Ain Shams University Mohammed Fathi Salim, and Vice President of Cairo University Hamdy Abu Stet in order to choose one of them as Minister of Agriculture.
Ministry of Sports
Former Al Ahly Sporting Club board members Rania Elwany and Khaled Mortagy are considered to be the leading candidates to be the Sports Minister in Ismail's government.
Ministry of Interior
Ministry of Interior expected to witness a change as a number of sources believe that Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar will not remain in office especially after the terrorist attacks witnessed in Cairo.
Minister of Interior Assistant Kamal Al Daly, former interior minister's assistant Mohsen Hefzy and Deputy Interior Minister for Security Osama Al Sagheer are the expected candidates for Ministry of Interior.
Ministry of Scientific Research
Head of the National Research Center, Ashraf Shaalan and Head of the Scientific Research Academy Mahmoud Sakr are the candidates for Ministry of Scientific Research.
Ministry of Manpower and Emigration
Head of the Central Administration for Immigration Alaa Awad and Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company Mohamed Saafan are the nominees for Ministry of Manpower and Emigration.
Ministry of Culture
According to a number of sources inside the Ministry of Culture, Former Supreme Council for Culture Secretary General Mohamed Afify, Head of the Cairo Opera House Enas Abdel-Dayem, Academy of Arts former head Sameh Mahran and former head of General Organization of Cultural Palaces Sayed Khatab are on the top of Ismail's list for the ministry.
Ministry of Education
Former Education Minister Ahmed Zaki Badr, Giza's Education Directorate head Buthaina Keshk, Cairo's Education Directorate head Fatma Khedr and former head of General Education Sector at the Ministry of Education Reda Mosaad are the expected candidates for Ministry of Education.
Ministry of Higher Education
Bani Suef university head Ameen lofty and former Zagazig University head Asharaf Al Shihy are candidates for Ministry of Higher Education.
Ministry of Petroleum
As the Minister of Petroleum in resigned Mahlab's government become the new Prime Minister, so the Ministry will witness a new minister.
Chairman of Egyptian Natural Gas Holding (EGAS) Khaled Abdel Badie, Chairman of Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) Tarek Al Malla and First Undersecretary for Gas Affairs at Egypt's Petroleum Ministry Sherif Sousa are the expected candidates to be Ismail's successor.
Ministry of Electricity
Number of sources inside Ministry of Electricity said that Electricity Minister in Mahlab's government Mohamed Shaker will remain in office.
The sources pointed out that if Shaker did not accept to stay in the Ministry, Deputy Minister of Electricity Osama Asran and Egyptian Electricity Holding Company Chairman Gaber Al Desouky one of them will be the new Minister of Electricity.
Ministry of Antiquities
Cairo University Faculty of Archaeology Dean Mohamed Hamza, National Museum for Egyptian Civilization director general Khaled Al Anani are the candidates for the Ministry of Antiquities.
Ministry of Local Development
Sources revealed that Mahlab's government Minister of Local Development Adel Labib will not be in the new government, pointing out that Sharqia's governor Reda Abdel Salam will be the Minister of Local Development in Sherif Ismail government.
Ministry of Religious Endowment
Member of the Presidential Council for Social Development Osama Al Azhari is the leading name to be the Minister of Religious Endowment.
Ministry of Justice
Sources said that Acting Minister of Justice Ahmed Al Zend, chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood Funds Inventory Committee Ezzat Khamis and Minister of Justice assistant Adel Al shorbagy are the candidates for the Ministry of Justice.
Ministry of Health
Cairo University deputy head Gamal Esmat, Liver Transplant Professor at Ain Shams University Mahmoud Al Meteini and Kasr El Aini Hospital director Nabil Abdel Maksoud are strongly nominated for Ministry of Health.
Ministers remaining in office
Minister of Defense Sedki Sobhi, Minister of State for Population Hala Youssef, Urban Development and Informal Settlements Minister Laila Eskandar, Minister of Housing, Mostafa Madbouly, Investment Minister Ashraf Salman, Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, Minister of Supply Khaled Hanafy, Social Security Minister Ghada Wali, Minister of Finance Hani Kadry and Tourism Minister Khaled Rami are expected to remain in Ismail's government.
