WB hands Egypt $ 550 million in loan for sustainable sanitation project

Advisor for Minister of Housing, Sayed Ismail said Saturday in a statement to Al Bawaba News that the World Bank (WB) had given Egypt a $ 550 million loan for sustainable sanitation in 155 villages.
Ismail revealed that the bank's mission would conclude its work Sunday, after six days of work with sustainable sanitation project manager and unit, in the presence of assistant minister, Sharif Abdal Fayyad, as well as representatives of Holding Co. For Water & Wastewater (HCWW).
He pointed out that the project will be implemented during the current year and mainly in three governorates Al Sharqia, Beheira and Dakahlia which suffer from Nile water contamination.
