Egypt's civil defense forces have successfully distinguished the fire that broke out early on Thursday in the al-Attaba Telecommunication Center, downtown Cairo, security and medical sources said. Eyewitnesses said 20 fire engines as well as water tankers owned by the Egyptian military were used to distinguish the blaze that ate the 12-storey building. The streets leading to the scene were closed to facilitate the distinguishing activities, police sources said. Earlier on Thursday, Egypt's Minister of Telecommunication, Khaled Negm, the Cairo security director, and the governor of Cairo inspected the scene. Spokesperson for Egypt's Ministry of Health, Hossam Abdel Ghafar said the blaze left an injured that left hospital after receiving medical treatment. Head of Egypt's Exchange, Mohamed Omran said the blaze had no harms on the exchange market, assuring the activities will go as normal at 10 am. Meanwhile, the public prosecution is currently investigating the blaze. Judiciary sources said it had not yet been determined whether it was a terrorist attack.
