Egypt's Ministry of Health announced that 11 people were wounded Monday in the bomb explosion that took place in front of the High Court, downtown Cairo. The spokesperson for the ministry, Hossam Abdul Ghafar, said that ten injured were transferred to the Helal Hospital while the Quba Hospital received the other victim for his serious injuries. An Interior Ministry statement said the bomb exploded under a car near the courthouse, wounding a number of policemen and civilians in central Cairo. Security sources said the public prosecutor, whose office is in the building, was inside at the time of the blast. They added he then left his office to inspect the scene of the attack. Monday's attack was the second in less than a week in Cairo. There were four bombings in the capital on Thursday. One person was killed and two were wounded in one of the attacks outside a restaurant in the residential Imbaba district of the capital, the Interior Ministry said.
