Political parties asked Saturday President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to pass a law that prohibits the dissolution of parliament and the postponement of any court verdict regarding the elections law, Al Bawaba News reported. Chairman of the Reform and Development Party, Mohamed Anwar Al Sadat, stressed in a statement to Al Bawaba, on the need to preserve the next Parliament from the risk of dissolution, especially after its election. Al Sadat pointed to the need for a decision by the president to pass a law to postpone the implementation of any possible verdict by the Supreme Constitutional Court invalidating the elections laws to the following elections, after the expiry of the five-year period of the parliament. He highlighted that such law is adopted by a number of countries, including Germany, so as to ensure the continuation of the constitutional institutions of the state. Furthermore, he asked for new set of rules that guarantee the efficiency of the monitoring process of the electoral propaganda, expenditure and prohibits the use of houses of worship for propaganda, which damages the electoral process. A member in the presidential board of the Egyptian Front coalition told Al Bawaba that there is an urgent need to protect the upcoming parliamentary elections from failing and to shield the next parliament from the danger of being unconstitutional, which will led to its dissolution. The presidential board member called upon the president to intervene and pass a law that ensures the continuation of the parliament, pointing out that this will benefit the country, as it will achieve the last step in the roadmap of the 30th of June 2013 revolution.
