Muslim Brotherhood has been through a number of phases in their journey that has been going for over 90 years since it was first established by Hassan al-Banna in 1928. The structuring phase lasted till 1939 and it took till 1948 to be specially organized. Later, the first ordeal happened, when they assassinated then-prime minister and minister of interior, Mahmoud Fahmy al-Noqrashi, in retaliation to its banning. Ever since that time, the Brotherhood was subjected to 4 ordeals. That followed al-Noqrashi's assassination, then al-Mansheya incident in 1954. The third one was due to Sayed Qutb's attempt to re-establish the movement and assassinate Gamal Abdel Nasser, while the fourth one came after June 30, 2013. Throughout these ordeals, no regime ever managed to take the movement down but once. Upon Qutb's upheaval In 1965 when the Brotherhood was left out of the equation for 7 years till they made peace with Sadat in 1972 and were released. Now, we're on the brinks, if not in the middle of a new battle to be run with the terrorist MB group and its different arms to defend a country, values and a civilization that was built long ago. We have to be apprehensive of the nature of such movement and its association with terrorism along with points of weakness and strength , if we're anticipating an actual confrontation to regain Egypt's power and independence. The Brotherhood is an independent institution that complies with the founder, al-Banna and Abdel Rahman al-Sanady as well as a number of social fronts such as al-Ghazali and al-Baqouri. The Brotherhood was like a champ throughout it all. The government held onto their policies which entailed staying away from MB as much as possible, socially, politically and away from whatever is of negative effect on Egyptians. The group remained to be like a twisted knife in the wound embracing violence as a policy, logistically backed with money and arms to guarantee its survival. Such policy came to be clear when the group announced its support to ISIS and it's affiliate Wilayat Sinai. This only proves that such ideology is not but a seed that can be incubated and propagated even with the execution of Morsi and Badea'. How to extinguish such country-hating group, is what to be discussed soon.
