Egypt's Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghafar met Sunday with his assistants and security high level officials to discuss means to face security challenges, Al Bawaba News reported. The meeting also tackled the bombing that hit a building related to the Italian consulate, downtown Cairo, leaving one killed and 10 injured, sources said. The sources added the meeting dealt with the proposed strategies to secure vital institutions during Al Fitr Feast prayers. Abdel Ghafar said intensified security measures will be taken across Egypt to guard civilians and institutions, calling on Egyptians to further collaborate with security circles to abort terrorist attacks.
