The Storm of Resolve warplanes Tuesday cut off supplies to Yemen's Houthi rebels in Taiz as they destroyed a bridge linking the city with Ibb, Sky News Arabia reported. Security sources told Sky News that the Saudi-led airstrikes have targeted several positions affiliating to the Houthis and their allied forces in Taiz and shelled a bridge located in Samara area, which was used by the rebels to transfer different supplies to the forces in the city. Yemen's third largest city Taiz and its airport have been seized by Shiite Houthi rebels on March 22 after intensive clashes with tribal fighters in the province. Saudi Arabia and several of its Arab allies have been trying to drive back the Houthi rebels, who seized the Yemeni capital Sana'a in September 2014 and have overrun many other northern provinces with the help of security forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
