Egypt's president Abdel Fattah Al Sisi will meet Wednesday the chairman of Siemens Company, Joseph Kaeser in Cairo, Al Bawaba News reported. The Minister of electricity and renewable energy, Mohamed Shaker Merkaby, and member of the Egyptian Scientists Consultative Council, Hany Azer will also attend the meeting. The meeting will tackle the giant projects the German company signed with Egypt during the Sharm El Sheikh Economic Conference held in March, sources told Al Bawaba News. The establishment of a 4400-MW power plant in the Upper Egypt province of Beni Sweif at a total cost of 2.2 billion Euros within 18 months' time tops Siemens' agenda in Egypt. The German company will make a 200-million Euros donation for the Egyptian economy, the sources added. The two sides will discuss the establishment of a wind power plant at 300 million Euros with total capacity of 2000 Megawatt. Local observers said President Al Sisi has repeatedly paid special attention to power investment as his country struggles with a drastic power crisis.
