Islamic State terrorist group (IS) militants executed Friday 35 Iraqi nationals, including policemen and their families in Albu Faraj district of Ramadi, Anbar province, western Iraq, according to Al Bawaba News. Iraqi police sources said 18 victims were police officers, and the rest were their families, including women and children. The sources added that IS militants shot them dead for belonging to the Iraqi government, claiming that their families used to provide government forces with food and supplies. Most of Albu Faraj residents had fled the village in fear of IS executions. Tribes' chiefs of Anbar warned against potential massacres by IS, calling on the government to send supplies and weapons to reinforce the resistance against the terrorist group.
