The Yemeni ministry of foreign affairs decided Saturday to force an embargo on its territorial waters and empowered the Arab coalition to implement that decision, Al Bawaba newspaper reported. The ministry said in a statement that its territorial waters is under embargo and no one is allowed to enter without permission from the Yemeni government, which supports President Abdel Rabou Mansour Hadi's legitimacy. The statement added: "all military and trade ships that get permission to enter Yemeni waters will be subject to security check before proceeding to ports." This decision comes after Iranian attempts to smuggle aid to Houthis through Yemen's territorial waters, Yemeni minister of foreign affairs Riad Yassin said.
