Israel's air force has purportedly carried out air strikes targeting Syrian positions controlled by Al Assad's regime near Homs, opposition and Western sources told Deutsche Presse Agentur. The sources who asked to remain anonymous said Israeli jetfighters have bombed two air defense bases in Shinshar and Tadmor, causing severe damage and human losses. They added that the U.S. was aware of the attack, affirming that this is not the first attack of its kind.
