Yemen's foreign minister Riad Yaseen said on Friday that Iranian forces were in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa to support the Houthi mlitants, in an interview with Al Arabiya News Channel. Yassin was on a trip in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm al-Sheikh, the day before the upcoming Arab League summit convening there. Meanwhile on Friday, fighter jets of Saudi-led coalition forces pounded a Republican Guard camp in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa as Operation "Decisive Storm" continues for the second day, targeting Houthi strongholds and their camps, Al Arabiya News Channel reported earlier. The Republican Guards are loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Houthi's main ally who retains wide power despite having stepped down in 2012 after Arab Spring protests. The offensive comes after powerful explosions rocked Sanaa Thursday night as the coalition forces carried out air strikes against the Shiite rebels who control Sanaa.
