Jet fighters launched Thursday air strikes on major Houthi air bases near the capital Sana'a, destroying the main terminals and air defense systems as part of the 'Decisive Storm' military operation launched by Saudi Arabia and GCC states against Houthi militants in Yemen. Spokesperson for the Arab coalition against Houthis said there are no plans to deploy ground troops to fight Houthis, however, joint forces are on high alert and set to intervene if needed. Saudi Arabia alongside GCC states, Egypt, Morocco, Pakistan, Jordan and Sudan have launched the 'Decisive Storm' military operation against Houthi rebels who seized the capital Sana'a and placed President Hadi alongside prominent officials under house arrest before advancing towards Aden, where Hadi attempted to regain power.
