Yemen's State television, currently controlled by Shiite Houthi rebels, announced a 20m Yemeni riyals bounty ($93,000) for whoever captures the "fugitive" president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, CNN reported on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Hadi asked the UN Security Council to authorize military intervention by "willing countries" to "protect Yemen and to deter" looming Houthi aggression in the south. Houthi rebels have seized control over the capital Sana'a in September, 2014, placing Hadi and several prominent figures under house arrest. Hadi has fled Sana'a to the southern province of Aden, where he strived to regain power; however, Houthi forces have advanced towards Aden, and captured Hadi's defense minister, Mohamed El sobihy on Wednesday, forcing Hadi into hiding.
