Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity rejected Tuesday the Muslim Brotherhood Dissidents movement's proposal to form a new non-governmental organization, according to reports. Head of NGOs' administration, Mohamed Naeem said the ministry will not allow the establishment of any organization under the name of "Muslim Brotherhood," adding that the MB Dissidents group has not submitted any proposal regarding the aforementioned organization. He revealed that the movement has contacted the administration to enquire about the requirements and procedures for establishing a non-governmental organization, adding that the administration provided them with all the required information. Naeem stated that Article 11 of the NGOs law prohibits any political practices by the organizations, adding that the ministry of social solidarity is authorized to immediately dissolve any association found guilty of involving in any political activities. On his part, Coordinator for MB Dissidents, Amr Emara asserted that he has already started in establishing the eight main bureaus of the new organization, adding that the group will hold an official meeting on Friday to elect the supreme supervisor of the group and his deputy. Emara denied the recent media reports regarding the ministry's rejection of the new group, confirming that the ministry will announce its final decision 60 days after submitting the required documents.
