The African Union (AU) announced Friday in a statement that it agreed to establish a regional power to confront the Boko Haram Islamist group, adding that the force will include 10 thousand soliders. The statement added that this force will prevent the expansion of Boko Haram, as well as eliminating it. The AU pointed out that the headquarters of the regional force will be in the Chadian capital, N'Djamena. Chad, Nigeria, Cameroon, Benin and Niger confirmed that they will assign about 8,700 soliders, while the Peace and Security Council of the African Organization said that these countries will provide at least 10,000 solider. Last February, AU sent 7500 solider to fight against Boko Haram in Nigeria, Chad, Niger, and Cameroon.
