Iraqi fighter jets carried out Wednesday air strikes targeting the Islamic State's (IS) headquarters in Abu Ghraib, west Baghdad, leaving 50 dead and 18 injured. Iraq's air force shelled four armored vehicles belonging to IS militants and destroyed nine IS sites in Baghdad, according to security reports. According to a statement issued Wednesday by Baghdad's operations command center, Iraqi bomb squad defused two explosive packages in Al Kathimyah, south of Baghdad and 10 other packages in Albuaosj, west of the capital. Spokesperson of the Iraqi ministry of interior, Saad Maan, told Middle East News Agency (MENA) that Baghdad has witnessed two suicide bombings on Tuesday. The ministry of health confirmed that the bombing on Diyala Bridge southeast Baghdad, left 18 dead and 52 wounded.
