North Sinai Security Directorate announced in a statement released Monday that authorities have detained five men suspected of terrorist attacks in the peninsula. One suspect Abdel Tawab, known as Sheikh Hamam, born in 1981 and a resident of Al Arish, North Sinai, is accused of killing an army solider who was guarding the telephone central, according to the statement. Four more suspects were apprehended in North Sinai over terrorism-related charges.
