Italy's prime minister, Matteo Renzi held a meeting Tuesday with Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni and Minister of Defense Roberta Pinotti to discuss the latest developments of the Libyan crisis, RT's website reported. The Italian government's press office announced that the situation in Libya had been discussed during the meeting, adding that the participants called on the UN to take diplomatic actions in order to resolve the Libyan crisis. Sunday, the Islamic State jihadist group threatened Rome in a gruesome video showing the beheading of 21 Egyptian Copts in Libya. "We will conquer Rome by Allah's permission", an IS militant said in the video.
