The Paris offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo were attacked by gunmen on Wednesday, killing at least 12 and wounding 10. According to the BBC, the gunmen opened fire with automatic weapons at responding police before escaping. At least two of the dead are police officers. The magazine's last tweet was a satirical cartoon of self-declared Caliph Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi of the Islamic State militant group. The magazine was previously firebombed by unknown assailants in 2011 after publishing a caricature of the Prophet Mohamed. According to AP, the terrorist attack is the deadliest France has experienced in at least two decades. Al Azhar has released a statement condemning the attack.
