Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil El-Araby met Monday with Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in Cairo to discuss Somalia's monthly grant and reconstruction. According to a statement issued by the Arab League, the meeting revolved around implementing the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers' resolution that aims at supporting the Somali government's budget with $ 10 million per month. The statement added that the two officials stressed on the necessity to establish the Arab donors' conference for Somalia‘s reconstruction in the second half of the next year. They also discussed the cooperation between the Arab League and Somalia against terrorism, as well as the League's efforts to counter extremism through political, economic, and intellectual coordination.
