Gemeda sees the Ethiopian Dam as a source for generating electricity

Speaker of the Ethiopian House of People's Representatives, Abadula Gemeda said Tuesday during the visit of a Parliamentary delegation to Cairo that the Renaissance Dam aims to generate electricity, not to create a conflict.
Gemeda added that the dam will also be beneficial for Egypt and that it will distribute water fairly.
It is worthy to mention that the delegation will spend four days in Egypt and will meet President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, in addition to a number of officials.
