Coming out smiling

People born under the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries (21 Mar - 21 Apr) do not cope well with the transitory nature of human ties. In the weeks ahead Arians might be forced to break up long-standing relationships, be they platonic or passionate love affairs.
Arians are born to love with passion. But they also hate with venom. This April Arians must learn to curb their passions, to hold their acerbic tongues.
Arians are natural born leaders. But in April they will be forced to listen attentively to their underlings. Listen with humility, dear Rams. Imhotep predicts that as you listen with humility and meekness you will discover the beauty of listening. You will hear wonderful words, and gain invaluable insights into new worlds.
Rams, as Arians are sometimes called, must learn this April that they are not necessarily better than others. People are precious, even the silly-sounding ones. Listen to what the simpleton has to say, and you'll learn a great deal this April, my dear Arians. Remember, especially, on April Fool's Day to take the seemingly foolish seriously.
Arians demand loyalty from friends and lovers. Loyalty, of course, is a two- way street. In your dealings with underlings you must make sure that people's dignity and respect are upheld.
April is a golden opportunity for raging Rams to behave as inoffensive lambs. With these radical character changes will come a great deal of satisfaction and an overpowering feeling of warmth and affection for others.
This transformation will give you the impetus to go forward, to take self and ego out of the way.
When the chips are down people born under the Fixed Earth sign of Taurus (22 Apr - 22 May) often have a pretty pessimistic view of life. A defence mechanism perhaps, but stoic Taureans have an uncanny ability to look at the world philosophically.
In April you've got your hands full. Diligent and industrious Taureans will, nevertheless, feel the strain. The normally assiduous Bulls, as Taureans are sometimes called, will yearn for a bit of peace and quiet.
April is also a month when Taureans must watch out for the complacency that comes with success. Taureans will be very successful in clinching deals in the weeks ahead. But some Taureans might succumb to an overpowering sense of loneliness.
Imhotep understands that Taureans feel especially vulnerable now in spite of the seeming successes. Imhotep advises Taureans to confide in others. You are not alone.
That means that you must not make decisions in isolation, or that you have to do everything yourself.
Trust is something people born under the Mutable Air sign of Gemini (23 May-22 Jun) find excruciatingly hard to exercise. Geminis find it difficult to hope and trust in the human race. Ruled by the planet Mercury, some Geminis can't even trust themselves, let alone others.
The Twins, as people born under this mercurial zodiac sign are often called, can be crafty and cunning. They are, nevertheless, very capable. Except that their creative and intellectual energy is often drained by the tendency to get enmeshed in half-baked plans. Typical Twins usually need someone more practical, more grounded in matters mundane, around to organise their lives. They also need someone who can read the two, often contrary, minds of the Twins.
Twins, beware of April Fools Day. A nasty trick might be played on you by some of your wicked detractors. Friends might betray, and you need all the help you can get from the few trusted ones around you.
Imhotep knows that it is very hard for you to trust but you must learn to be more discerning, a better judge of character. Not all your acquaintances are foes or rivals. Some friends genuinely do care.
Remember, dear Gemini, that you should seek advice from people different.
You shouldn't give people incentives to do things you do not want to do. Stop being manipulative, playing people off against each other. Such naughtiness will land you in serious trouble in the weeks ahead. So remember, Geminis to be nice and loving this April. Then you'll come out smiling.
Look out next week for Imhotep's reading of Cancer, Leo and Virgo
