It is mainly directed to African students studying in Alexandria University and aims to open channels of communication between those African students and their Egyptian peers through weekly meetings and other activities in which they share and exchange knowledge and experience. ALYM also aims to strengthen the Egyptian-African relations on the long-run through producing future ambassadors for Egypt in different African countries. Sat 23, 4pm: “Knowledge Café”, a lecture held as part of the Youth and Environment Programme, the event will discuss different scientific topics. Sat 23, 5pm: “Youth for Environmental Sustainability and Better Understanding (YESBU),” a programme launched in 2002, and organized by the BA Special Advisors targeting young people from 13 to 17 years old. It aims to raise environmental awareness among youth and provides them with e-learning tools. Mon 25, 8.30am: “Towards a Better Educator,” a project aims to implement a training programme for teachers that will rely on developing teachers' personal and life skills that are complementary with their teaching skills. This will lead to enhancing their communication with students, which will reflect positively on the educational process as a whole.
