“Illustration for Children: Italian Excellence,” an exhibition features 18 Italian illustrators who will present 72 works, four tablets each. It has been organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo, in collaboration with the Bologna Children's Book Fair, the leading professional fair for children's books in the world, and AUC, American University in Cairo.
These creations reflect the artistic trajectories followed by designers who, in the course of just two generations, have introduced a new concept for illustrated books. Their originality and expressive power gained success also abroad, where they have been repeatedly awarded

Baad El Bahr for Cultural Development and Mashrabia Gallery of Contemporary Art organise a pop-up exhibition by Rania Atef and Akeel Khreef, two of the participating artists in the From Rags to Riches project. This is an occasion to experience these up-cycled works exhibited in downtown, one of the most vibrant and artistic areas in Cairo, before they are set in a public space, their final destination (7 February -5 March).
