For one week, 13-19 February, in different venues throughout Cairo, special events and celebrities will help shed a new light on the activities of the only place in Egypt, the Arab World and Africa that offers a full-time professional contemporary dance school, while extending the quality of this teaching to classes, workshops and courses open to wider audiences. Wed 15, 6pm: This is the most festive moment of the week, with famous downtown club Zigzag welcoming a party like no other! To put the audience in the mood for dance, some of CCDC's teachers and students will present short performances of Poi spinning and Hip Hop, while music will be provided by the young DJ duo NNR. To give everyone a chance to dance, CCDC will open its doors on Friday 17 February and Saturday 18 February for a free trial of every class provided by the center. From Hip Hop to Ballet, through Yoga, Taiji, and of course Contemporary Dance, adults and children of all ages, social backgrounds and physical conditions are invited to try out one of the various disciplines taught at CCDC.
