Horoscopes:
Amplitude of pure affection
By Imhotep
Practice makes perfect, my dear Sea Goats, as people born under the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn (22 Dec-22 Jan) are sometimes called. However, alas, there is absolutely no fun in perfection. Pure affection, love, is what really matters. Discovery, exploration and making mistakes -- that is where all the joy of life comes from. Give yourself room to trip, stumble, and fall right now. Above all, don't forget to love with a deep and pure affection. Let love take over your life.
It is your call, my dear Sea Goats. Try to be forgiving. Hostility and hatred don't stand a chance in the face of genuine brotherly or sisterly love. You are ready to seal a deal when it comes to a certain domestic arrangement, but the Star says to go over everything just once more. It is probably in great order, but you want to be absolutely sure -- just for your peace of mind.
Challenges with others, my dear Capricorns, are almost always a reflection of a deeper internal issue. Examine your motives. Analyse what has been going on in your life and in your relationships. Figure out in your own way how these problems correlate to the undiscovered parts of your psyche.
And, above all, relax. Vacations don't have to mean lots of planning and money. Turn off your phone and computer and snuggle up for a few days with your favourite person. But, stay away from snacks and junk food please. Get a good book and sit in the tub -- yes, have a bubble bath with some soothing aromatic oils. Go on, indulge. You need some downtime. Unwind and have fun.
Tell your inner critic to shush, my dear Water Bearers, as people born under the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius (23 Jan-19 Feb) are sometimes called. What are you trying to achieve? Once you answer that question, you can figure out the best means to get it. Don't spend your life pussyfooting around other people's potential hurt feelings. Figure it all out.
You find a new group of friends or a potential lover who seem to be just the right fit for your life. A little analysis of yourself and others goes a long way now. Not to say you should be thoughtless, just that you should not relentlessly overthink romantic matters.
The love life of someone close to you might have been taking some dramatic twists and turns. But, that does not mean that you have to get too involved, even if it is a close friend or relative that is troubled. You have a right to be concerned, but it is their love life, not yours. Provide a listening ear or whatever you are comfortable with, no more. Please resist the temptation to meddle into the love life of loved ones.
If you get the sense that a certain someone is not telling you absolutely everything, my dear Dolphins, as people born under the Mutable Water sign of Pisces (20 Feb-21 Mar) are sometimes called, well, you are absolutely right. You are not telling all either, are you? Fish around with subtlety and lure them into saying more. Dolphins are adept at making fish traps.
You are easily able to see where others are coming from now and this sort of intuition and compassion can be a very compelling quality. Show them just how understanding you can be.
Getting something romantic started is definitely favoured by the Stars throughout most of the month of May, so get an online flirtation under way or just make somebody happy. There is nothing more irritating than a missed opportunity, but never fear. Just because you had other things on your mind doesn't mean you have lost out on the main chance. This situation will come around again. But the Stars say it's best to let things percolate a bit before taking action.
Look out next week for Imhotep's reading of Aries, Taurus and Gemini
