♥ Last week, the Assiut Culture Palace was inaugurated by Minister of Culture Saber Arab, Assiut Governor Ibrahim Hammad and head of the General Organisation of Culture Palaces (GOCP) Saad Abdel-Rahman. Arab delivered a speech expressing his happiness with the opening of the culture palace, stressing the role of the culture palaces — affiliated to the GOCP — in combating violence. The three-floor cultural centre contains a science club, an IT club, an art gallery, a library, a women's club and an open-air theatre with 279 seats, as well as an Arab music hall, a folk art rehearsal hall, a cinema hall and winter theatre with 441 seats. Hammad honoured Arab and Abdel-Rahman and handed them honorary shields.
