Brazilian wizzard Ronaldinho has penned a new deal with Atletico Mineiro, Eurosport reported on Thursday. Ronaldinho has been approached by Turkish side Besiktas of late as reports indicated that he had already signed for the Super Lig outfit. Atletico Mineiro chief Alexandre Kalil, however, has come out to confirm that Ronaldinho has extended his deal - albeit without disclosing any details. The news meant that Besiktas's hopes of signing the ex-Barcelona ace were thrashed, as he was tipped to return to Europe in an attempt to boost his chances of making Brazil's World Cup squad. The flamboyant forward switched to Atletico in the summer of 2012 as he went on to claim South America's Best Player of 2013 award after scoring sixteen goals for the Brasileirão side. Ronaldinho won the Ballon D'Or twice in 2003 and 2005 during his heyday at Barcelona, where he guided them to two La Liga trophies and a UEFA Champions League triumph.
