After beating Ahly 2-0 in the quarterfinal of the Club World Cup, Guangzhou Evergrande coach Marcello Lippi believes the semifinal game against European champions Bayern Munich won't be easy, but says his team is ready for the clash. Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande managed to take a firm grip on the 2-0 win over Ahly, opening the scoring via a goal from Brazilian midfielder Elkeson shortly after the restart, before Argentinean Dario Conca added the second. The Asian Champions Guangzhou Evergrande have set up a game against Bayern Munich in the semifinals of the tournament on Wednesday. "Bayern Munich game will be different from today's one against Ahly," Lippi told reporters after the game. "The result of the game against Bayern Munich can't be expected as there are no facts in football," he added. "Guangzhou did well during the last two seasons as we won more trophies Asian Champions League, Chinese league and Cup," The 65-year-old tactician also praised the performance of Ahy players throughout the game, saying that they deserved respect despite their loss. "Ahly have brilliant players but the political problems in Egypt affected them," he said. "Finally I want to congratulate Ahly's star Abou-Treika, who will retire from football after this tournament, for his brilliant history," the World Cup-winning coach added.
