Pharaohs game will be testing, says South Africa coach South Africa's national coach Pisto Mosimane is steeling his players ahead of Saturday's game against Egypt in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers
PistoMosimane, coach of the South African national team, has asked his players to be focused and in form when they face the Pharaohs, and to not pay attention to reports that Egypt's players are out of form. Egypt, 35thin Fifa's latest world rankings, were held to a 1-1 draw at home against Sierra Leone and followed it up with a 0-1 loss away to Niger. The 46-year-old coach Mosimanesaid that Egypt's performance levels weren't low against Sierra Leone and Niger."Egypt were not bad against Sierra Leone and Niger ... they did everything they could ... the Sierra Leone goalkeeper was just unbelievable,” Mosimane was quoted as saying. “Egypt controlled the match in Niger and Niger scored through a counter-attack. Sometimes you play good and you lose; that's what happened to Egypt. Sometimes you play bad and win," Mosimane added. On the coming game for his team, Mosimane said:"It will be a game that's tactically demanding and emotionally exhausting, but that's okay." Bafana Bafana are at the top of the Group G standings with four points after two matches, while Egypt are at the bottom of the group with a single point.
