Head of ambulance authority Ahmed Al-Ansary announced that 26 were injured in Wednesday's clashes, which took place among students in several governorates.
Sixteen of the total injured were transferred to hospitals, reported Al-Ahram's Arabic news website.
In the Nile delta, 17 were injured in Zagazig university and 5 in Mansoura university. Most injuries were bruises or minor wounds.
While, in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, four injured in clashes near the Faculty of Law at Alexandria University were transferred to the student's hospital.
Several governorates have witnessed clashes between supporters and opponents of deposed president Mohamed Morsi on university campuses since the begining of the academic year, as rival camps have been continuously staging demonstrations.
The most violent clashes that took place on Wednesday were at Al-Azhar university in Cairo, where at least 25 people were arrested amid clashes with security after pro-Morsi protesters stormed an administration building.
According to the lawyer representing the students, only eight of them were Al-Azhar university students.
No final numbers of the injured in Al-Azhar clashes have been released by the Ministry of Health yet.
