An Egyptian foreign ministry official has announced that the Egyptian drivers held in Libya will be released, state news agency MENA reported. Egypt's Ambassador to Libya Mohammed Abu-Bakr told MENA on Sunday that the embassy has secured the release of over 100 drivers held hostage. Some 77 Egyptian vehicles were stopped by an armed militia earlier this week in the northern Libyan city of Ajdabiya. Abu-Bakr said the embassy made immediate contacts with tribal leaders and the Libyan foreign ministry in order to negotiate the Egyptians' release. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/84341.aspx
