Event: Indian tea and food festival, 7 and 8 May
The Indian Embassy has been kicking up an active storm in Cairo, with an arts and performance schedule not to mention a food festival and tea tasting at the Sonesta Hotel on 7 and 8 May

As part of a set of the India on the Nile festivities organised by the Indian Embassy in Cairo, locals can do what they like best. Eat and drink, with a tea tasting on 8 May and a food festival with two Indian chefs on 7 May at the Sonesta Hotel, Tower & Casino in Heliopolis.
Mughlai Food Festival, 7 May
Participants can expect to delight in the Mughlai style of Indian food, known for their exotic ground and whole spices, dried fruits and nuts. Experienced chefs bring the best of skills to the table: Chef Vikram Udaygiri, who was awarded the IFCA Smart Chef prize in 2012, and Chef and Food Architect T.S. Nanaiah.
Indian Tea Tasting, 8 May
All flavours of Indian tea, highly backed by the Indian tea institution.
