The head of the Cairo's ambulance department, Mohamed Sultan, says 87 people were injured in Friday's clashes that erupted during a Muslim Brotherhood rally in front of the High Court on Ramsis Street. Sultan told private satellite channel Al-Hayat Friday night of the 87 injured, 18 sustained birdshot wounds. Sultan added that all those injured, except for those wounded with birdshot, were discharged from hospitals after receiving medical aid. Thousands of Islamist protesters were holding a rally before the High Court in Downtown Cairo to demand a "purge of Egypt's judiciary" when clashes erupted.
