Free Egyptians detained in Saudi Arabia, demand their families
Families of Egyptian detainees in Saudi prisons protest in front of the prosecutor general's office. Frustrated due to slow process and unfair judicial practice.

Around 50 relatives of Egyptians imprisoned in Saudi Arabia protest in front of the office of Prosecutor General,Abdel Meguid Mahmoud. They are frustrated with the lack of progress on the part of the authorities to free them.
The detainees are mostly imprisoned for medicines found on them while travelling from Egypt to Saudi Arabia. They filed a request to release the 140 prisoners on the grounds that none of the charges against them have been confirmed.
In their last communication with their relatives, the detainees stated that the Saudi authorities were using the pretext of "awaiting a royal pardon," just to delay their imprisonment.
Their families added that they submitted many complaints to the minister of foreign affairs to no avail.
The protestors said they will not leave until their relatives are released.
