Zamalek accept Gulf offers for defensive duo Tolba and Saied Zamalek manager gives defence duo Hani Saied and Hamada Tolba the green light to leave the club
Zamalek coach Jorvan Vieira has agreed to let defenders Hani Saied and Hamada Tolba leave the club after they received offers from Arab Gulf outfits. Saied received an offer from Omani side Zofar, while Hamada Tolba is targeted by Saudi Arabia's Hogar. Saied, who joined Zamalek in the summer of 2011, has been a regular member of the team's starting line-up since his arrival while Tolba had failed to impress since joining the ailing Cairo side last summer. "We have many defenders in the club," Brazilian coach Vieira told the club's official website on Wednesday. "Mahmoud Fathallah, Salah Soliman and Ahmed Magdy could easily cover the absence of the duo. The club is suffering from a financial crisis and the departure of some players could be a solution." Domestic football has been suspended since February's Port Said disaster and the fate of this season is still unclear. The Egyptian Football Association stepped up its efforts to start the Egyptian Premier League later this month but it has yet to get the approval of the interior ministry.
